Laser replaces the meter rule
Laser replaces the meter rule
For painters, floor-layers and architects, measuring rooms or entire houses is a daily task since this information is essential in producing proposals or calculating material requirements. Imagine doing without measuring tape or meter rule in doing so in the future and never needing to kneel on the floor again.
Bosch has made highly comfortable and precise measuring – and even goes one step further: With the DLE 150 Connect laser telemeter from Bosch, you do not need to take any notes. One click and the data are transferred to your computer.
Architects and real estate agents use this intelligent measuring tool to measure entire buildings, where they often need to record hundreds of measurements. To make sure they can be used immediately for calculations and offers, Bosch has developed the first laser telemeter with a Bluetooth interface, which facilitates wireless transmission of data to a PC, laptop or PDA (Personal Digital Assistant).
This wireless Bluetooth® technology is a radio technology for short distances. It can transmit signals across short distances between telephones, computers and other end user devices.
The data transfer software delivered with the product processes the data so that they can be directly entered into forms (e.g. Excel tables). If the computer has standard measuring or CAD software, the user can develop a convenient, versatile system with almost unlimited saving formats and calculation options, without any complicated installation effort.
Cordless screwdriver says "ok"
Cordless screwdriver says "OK"
Telemeters are not the only Bosch tools that can communicate – now cordless screwdrivers can do the same. The "Bosch Exact" cordless screwdriver can transmit wireless data to a computer. It is used in the automobile industry, for instance, to record and document data on screw couplings.
The cordless screwdriver can "tell" whether the screw connection is "OK" or not, which is important for quality assurance. With Bluetooth technology, up to seven screwdrivers can be administrated in parallel and taken out of operation where necessary.
Precision piercing saw
Precision piercing saw
The GST 135 CE and GST 135 BCE professional piercing saws from Bosch are a world premiere: Their sawing blade is supported by the triple point "Precision Control" guide. It provides ideal guidance even when working on thick surfaces, since the cutting groove remains at right angles and needs no time-consuming reworking. Low-wear jaws guide the sawing blade and significantly reduce lateral tolerance using patented mechanics. A guiding roll uses a tried and tested method to keep the back of the sawing blade in the groove.
Craftsmen can use this innovative technology for precision sawing, while saving considerable time since it is so easy to handle.
That also goes for changing the sawing blade. With the new Bosch piercing saw technology, even hot blades can be exchanged in only five seconds. After shifting a lever, the blade springs out of the fitting automatically without needing any man-handling. Simply slot a new sawing blade into the fitting, shift back the lever and continue.
The new professional piercing saws also impress with other exceptional characteristics: The models' 720 Watt motor is extremely powerful, while the "Constant Electronic" system developed by Bosch maintains a constant cutting speed even in difficult conditions. The mechanism's mass balance reduces vibrations and makes work less tiring.
Bosch research also transforms sawing blades. The T 144DP sawing blade for soft and hard wood was perfected for piercing saws with "Precision Control." The blade has a special tooth geometry that makes precise cutting even easier.
Pioneering shock absorption
Pioneering shock absorption
Bosch has developed a world premiere with the GWS 26-230 large right angle grinder on which both the main grip and auxiliary handle are protection by shock absorption. "Vibration Control" keeps strong vibrations away from the grips and so makes work much more pleasant. The technical aims of developments not only include their functions and durability, but also and especially the health and well-being of users.
This new technology reduces the grinder's grip vibration by up to 80 percent. It can therefore be used without any harm for long periods: Vibrations are so low that long working periods are even possible under the new EU regulation due to come into force in 2005. Vibration reduction not only protects users and increases working comfort, but also brings economic advantages.
The patented technology ensures that, in addition to the unique shock absorption qualities, safety is the highest priority: Even if the shock absorber is damaged, the handle always remains securely attached to the machine.
DIY drill with vacuum function
DIY drill with vacuum function
DIY enthusiasts benefit from Bosch innovations, too. The first hammer drill with an integrated vacuum function is now available. Dust will no longer fall around the drilling point. It will be directly sucked up from the hole by the 1000 RCA drill.
The cooling air for the 1000 Watt hammer drill is used as an innovative vacuum function. The dust bag integrated into the machine is sufficient for 20 holes drilled in stone or concrete.
Bosch designed the new vacuum function for stone dust, but it is also suitable for drilling wood or plastics. The dust bag can be easily removed before drilling through metal or using the drill as a screwdriver. It is also very easy to reattach.
The powerful hammer drill is very light (only 2.4 kg) and easy to handle. It is especially suited for overhead work on room ceilings, for instance. Here, you will no longer get any dust into your eyes or hair.
