The future needs a past. 75 years ago the Bosch Archives were founded. They collect valuable materials relating to the company's history and the company's founder.

On January 1, 1933, Friedrich Schildberger became the first ever official Bosch archivist. Since then, the Bosch Archives have amassed a collection of records covering some 1,600 meters of shelves, over 100,000 photographs, 2,500 films, 1,000 posters, more than 50,000 items of technical documents, and around 13,000 technical products. In 2004, the Archives were renamed Historical Communications.

As the company’s collective memory, this department gathers and analyzes valuable material, and makes the extensive know-how available for use both inside and outside the company.
